100WC Week #33

Unfortunately the weather was not on my side today, with dark grey clouds and thunder rumbling like the start of an earthquake, a storm was brewing. One tree was struck with lightning twice, but the ferocious wind made the fire catch onto other trees which then set a whole line up in flames. The chaos had started all over again just like last week, people screaming, thunder and lightning but the wind, the wind was just terrible making some of the oldest trees topple over and crash to the ground. Tomorrow will be another day of cleaning up the streets.

  1. I can just picture this! What a great sentence opener you've used. I like how you've used the word 'chaos' too. Could you use a semi-colon to separate some of these closely linked ideas? :)

  2. Your writing was very creative and it made me realise how we are all at the mercey of Mother Nature. Your sentence structure was very sound and your story flowed well. We have just had a major storm where I live in Australia and there were days of cleaning up the streets! Congratulations on your impressive writing!
